Warning Message:A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 am akst Thursday for
Turnagain Arm and higher elevations.
Southeast winds will continue to increase this morning with gusts
to 85 mph over east Anchorage…including areas along the
hillside…outlets of valleys and along Turnagain Arm. The
strongest gusts are expected this evening reaching as high as 105
mph. Windy conditions are expected to continue through early
Thursday morning.
A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. People are urged to secure loose objects that could
be blown around or damaged by the wind.
