We finally had to get our driveway plowed today, second time this winter. If you remember, back just after Christmas, the road commission did it for us, this time I had to call someone to do it. We had a pretty good snow fall in the past few days, about a foot or more, and most of it was that heavy wet shit, just too much to shovel. We started getting sucked in to the sides of the drive while backing out, and almost getting stuck. The last thing I, or Jan, need is getting stuck heading to work, and with me heading in at 5:30 in the morning. So anyway, the plow guy had quite the time even getting up the drive, let alone plowing it. Yes, it was that bad, and the drive is a hill that drops off on both sides. It took him a while to get the drive done, almost getting stuck himself many times, but it is done, 40 bucks later, not a bad price I guess.
I didn’t really get a chance to get out much today due to the plowing of our drive, but mainly because I wanted to spend a little time with Jan, see as the only time we see or talk to each other the last few days has been either on the phone or passing on the road as I head home from work and Jan heads to work. I did have to make a quick run to the store to get milk though. On the way I took a couple photos down at the Wasilla Lake park (Newcomb Park). As much as I truely dislike Wasilla, the view from this park is really nice. Yes, we WILL move from here.
Oh, and don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour tonight or tomorrow morning, Daylight Savings Time.
’til next time
