Here are a few of the photos I took today. It’s late and I just want to get a few out. More tomorrow…
Although the Eastern UP of Michigan isn’t anything compaired to the Western bit, we only had the day to do a bit of color trip. Drove from St. Ignace through Hessle on to Detour, then up to the Soo and down and around the Curly Hwy to just south of Paradise and headed back south.
Having not been on this round trip in quite a few years, it was nice to see it again and I was even able to find one of my hidden places along Lake Superior, Naomikong Point. It’s wonderful to be able to get to a beach where you don’t see another person for miles.
We finished the day off eating at Clyde’s Drive-In… Yumm!

OMG is it beautiful where you are! pssst Dawn takes some great photo’s too!
Ah, the wonderful, magical UP. Glad you’re settling back in down there in MI. I’m curious to see after awhile down there if you end up wanting to return to AK. I haven’t ever been to the eastern UP, so this was great for me.
And by the way (this may be unpopular opinion, but whatever), I think those damn wind farms can really muck up a view. And I don’t think the energy returns are enough to justify it. OK, but that’s enough soapbox. Great stuff as usual Ed.
P.S. – I am not stalking you, haha, I just really like your photographs and I really like the area you live in so, well, it makes sense.
