The past couple days we have lost a big chunk of our snow, another day or two, and we wont have any at all. The Chinook winds have eaten the snow right up. There have been reports of winds reaching 100 MPH around Anchorage. Schools have been closed for the past two days due to icy roads, this is about the only time schools do close.
As you can see, our drive is a bit icy. I’ve had many icy driveways before, just never on quite the hill ours is now. I’ve been throwing lots of grit down so that we can get some traction traversing down to the road.
