Aurora

Updated 03.10.11 7:00 PM AST

So last night I went to bed quite early with the intentions of getting up around 3 AM to catch the Northern Lights.

It did work that way, good thing really. Around 10 PM, I think, Maddie came in the house to say goodbye as she moving back to England. Wish you all the best Maddie!

After Maddie left I decided to venture outside to see if the Aurora was showing, and damn it sure was. The winds were still blowing like mad and at one point, around 12 midnight, a gust of 55 MPH almost blew my tripod over. Needless to say it wasn’t easy getting these shots in all the wind.
