Today we decided to head up to Talkeetna and Denali (Mount McKinley). The temp was about -30 below zero with crystal clear skies. We really could not have pick a much better day to head up there.
Denali (“The Great One”) is the highest mountain peak in North America, at a height of approximately 20,320 feet. Here is a good Wikipedia link about Denali
Talkeetna is a nice small town, mostly of log buildings. Most the shops were closed, off season. We did stop at Latitude 62 for a burger, was a dam good burger at that. Very friendly people setting at the bar and working.
This is going to be a big post, again, with 17 photos.

In Talkeetna there is a really nice park that is on the Susitna River. Took a walk down to the river and got these 7 shots.
